As you can see, this is my fastest race yet, by nearly a minute per mile. It was a beautiful day to run, and a very flat fast course, which helped. Amazingly, I did not bring my GPS phone, or keep very good track of my pace. I just ran comfortably fast, and kept it going. Who knew I had this speed in me?
The best part is that it was the same day as a great super bowl party. During the whole party, I was joking about how I would need some ridiculous combination of safeties and missed kicks to get a winning point score. Then, at the end of the game, suddenly Pittsburgh only needed a touchdown to win. And, as you know, they did and I won $100. A new PR and a cash prize. Great day if I say so myself.
