To show how hard I'm working

In case anyone was wondering how hard I'm working out, here's my feet after the bootcamp workout.

Ok, it's actually a silly problem I have. I kick myself while I run. And I have no idea what to do about it, except maybe bring bandages with me when I run. Is there a cure for clumsiness?

Here's my latest run with the boot camp group. I managed to average under 10 min/mile even with the steep uphill at the end. I was late, so I ran by myself.

The crazy people who ran today ran an extra run up and down the goat trail, so I followed along. and except for trouble with the final "wallies", I did the whole workout for once. Hurrah!

This is my first run with the new shoes. Check out that wonderful 1st mile time. And ignore the others. I'm not sure if I ran out of energy, oxygen, or just motivation on the second mile.

And my boss jinxed me. She said I'd get a side ache if I ran after eating, so I waited, and got a side ache anyway. I really felt like I started too fast, and never caught up.

Oh well, tomorrow will be better.

This is me cycling by myself from home. This log proves what happens when I cycle this far with no breaks. When I cycle with the SDBC, we stop and rest up before hitting Torrey Pines, and I just kept going. My speed uphill really suffered, but it was good exercise.

bikewearworld.com is giving away free Gatorade at the top of the hill. It's been so long since I drank Gatorade, that it tastes really overly sweet now. And I used to drink that stuff like water. I'm amazed I was not even heavier back then.

Here's a fun entry. It's Bao and I walking from the Parking lot to the UCLA/Oregon game. It was a tough game since neither team could get much offense going. But it was a beautiful day out.

BiM had a little problem, because when I used it to check the weather, it told me it was 39F, when it was comfortable, and 72F according to Bao's watch.

Here's the results of my first 5k in a long time. I thought 27 minutes was a good time, but my official time is 26.38 as you can see here: http://www.runnersimage.net/showresults.php?race_id=950&start=200

This positive result has made me decide to train for a marathon. The Rock and Roll Marathon is in San Diego in June, and would be perfect timing.

This activity is my first time riding a 3 wheeled vehicle know as a trikke. The way you ride it reminds me of the feeling of roller blading, but the arms also had to work against the handle bars. It was a lot of fun, and I have my own trikke now to try back home.

Here's todays bike ride. My cellphone has enough juice to last the whole ride, so I recorded it. This was the C+ ride, which is between the C and C++ rides.

Looks like I did better at the Torrey Pines climb. I kept over 10 mph for most of the way up. Hurrah! Of course the woman challenging me on the way up helped. Another rider literally gave her a push at one point to catch up to me. Fun times.

This is my last run with the bootcamp group. Note that we ran the opposite direction so that the goat trail is at the end. I prefer the other way, since it give a nice steady climb. But going up the goat trail is probably easier on the knees.

For reference, here's my best run along the canyon behind Qualcomm. Note that I ran down the goat trail, as I usually do when running with friends.
